The focus of my project is the issue of how relationships within the family environment can be improved. The project, therefore, investigates a pre-existing situation and finds a solution to make it better. To pursue this objective, I conducted a study around the use of technology, in order to find out whether using this methodology can help to find an answer to the question of long distance between family members. The main approach used was the double diamond design thinking method that is structured in four different steps; discover, define, develop and deliver. In this way, the approach maps the divergent and convergent stages of a design process. The final outcome is a substantial collection of design solutions, addressing the selected target audience towards a better service within the family environment. With the support of interaction design, the outcome is divided into different medias such as an online platform, a printed toolkit and a process book to show the development of the project.
